Tables at The Little John can be booked online for lunch, dinner or Sunday lunch. There is no deposit and no card required. The kitchen serves Monday to Saturday from noon until 9pm, and Sunday from noon until 8pm, straight through with no afternoon break.

Booking a table

Do I need to book a table?

You are welcome to walk in and there is usually room in the bar. Booking is sensible for dinner at a weekend, and strongly recommended for Sunday lunch, which regularly sells out.

Is there a deposit?

No. There is no deposit and no card required to hold a standard table. Just tell us when you are coming and how many of you there are.

Can I book for a large group?

For larger groups it is worth calling on 01433 650225 rather than booking online, so we can seat you properly and give the kitchen some warning.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Dogs are welcome in the bar, so you can eat with your dog beside you. Water bowls as standard, biscuits behind the bar.

What if I need to cancel?

Just let us know. There is no cancellation charge, though a phone call means we can give the table to somebody else, which we always appreciate.

Can I book Sunday lunch online?

Yes, and you should. Sunday is the busiest service of our week and the carvery does sell out, particularly through the middle of the afternoon.
